ABOUT US
"Legacy of Peace" was born out of a passion to help parents navigate what can be one of the most difficult times in a family's life, the teen and pre-teen years. Karin and her husband Steve spent a year with their son going through the intensive, year-long Teen Challenge program. Both are advocates for Teen Challenge, however, Karin felt God’s calling to create a course that would implement the core principles and systems to help get families back on track without having to go through a live-in program. "We thought we were doing everything right as the parents of three boys, but we felt desperate and hopeless when our youngest hit the teen years.” With that difficult and tumultuous time now in the past, Karin reflects and understands the importance of certain practices that can be easily overlooked and missed in our day-to-day family lives.
"Legacy of Peace" is built on Christian principles that will hopefully help take your family into a freedom that will last a lifetime. These principles are especially important if your child is at the formative ages of 10-13 years old, so you can be proactive before the stress of their teen years begin. This program incorporates experienced guidance, spiritual reflection and teen mentoring. Legacy of Peace also gives back 10% from course purchases to future scholarships to Teen Challenge, for families that need more of an intensive program. Ultimately, our greatest hope is to leave your family with a truly lasting "Legacy of Peace".

OUR TEAM
KAYDEN - MALE TEEN MENTOR
Kayden is uniquely qualified to mentor teens as he spent a year learning and growing at Teen Challenge Adventure Ranch in Morrow Arkansas at the age of 15. When Kayden was at Teen Challenge, he was able to overcome a spiritual battle, learn of God’s love, serve on
a mission trip to Honduras, and even became part of the Cadre house, which is an Elite
status at Teen Challenge. After Kayden graduated from Teen Challenge, he continued his high school studies and finished 3 years of high school in one year on a self -paced home study curriculum. Kayden then moved on and enrolled at YWAM, which stands for, Youth With A Mission. There he
learned how to be a missionary, and how to truly live for God, and help others experience the presence of the Holy Spirit. Kayden can empathize with those kids trying to find their place in this world and who are questioning their faith and freedom. Kayden can also understand the strongholds and risks of drugs and alcohol as a youth. We hope your child is deeply enriched and encouraged by Kayden’s insights and
acceptance.
NYAH-FEMALE MENTOR
Born and raised in a strong loving Christian family and community, in a small rural area called Raul Arsenio Oviedo, in Paraguay, the heart of South America, Nyah’s whole upbringing was surrounded and protected with prayer, God's Word and people of faith. Nyah studied multiple languages and traveled all around Germany in 2018 through a national competition she participated in and won. In 2020 she was blessed with the opportunity to come to Kansas City and nanny for a family as they studied at YWAM, which stands for Youth With A Mission. During her time in KC, Covid hit, and she remained in the United States and found the love of her life, to whom she is now married and living with in Florida. Although her childhood was not absent of trials, the true testing of her faith and character showed itself once she moved to the States. Not only were the opportunities here overwhelming, but also the temptations of the world, the desire for attention, material possessions, and the increased influence of non- believers around her, went against her godly upbringing. As her life was decaying and falling apart because of the poor decisions she had made, God encountered her at a crossroad with His love and kindness. She had to make the decision to either continue in her selfish ways and satisfy her own desires or surrender control of her life to her Maker to
live a life of purpose. Nyah’s Bible foundations and her newfound humility and love for Christ will surely be a blessing to your daughter’s.
